Basildon Park is an impressive Georgian mansion built in the late 18th Century, surrounded by glorious parkland. The property was lovingly rescued from ruin by Lord and Lady Iliffe in the mid 1950s, when they restored the elegant interior and scoured the country salvaging 18th-century architectural fixtures and fittings. In 2005 Basildon Park became ‘Netherfield’ in the recent adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. The suite of perfectly restored rooms, which were originally intended for the great entertainments of country house life, provide a unique historical setting for your special day. The parkland and gardens provide outstanding photograph opportunities, and several beautiful marquee sites. Stonor Park is the Thames Valley and Chilterns hidden gem, set in 230 acres of parkland and home to a herd of wild fallow deer. The fine Tudor e-shape house, with its warm brick facade surrounded by beech woods and fields, undoubtedly provides a stunning backdrop for a marquee wedding or private and corporate entertaining. Offering exclusive use of the venue, there are two potential marquee sites in the heart of the park approached by a long drive after an entry through impressive gates.
The thirteenth century chapel situated on the south-east corner is available for Catholic wedding ceremonies.
Situated between the M40 and M4, Stonor offers easy access from any corner of England and is close to main line stations and London airports. Stonor has excellent security with electronic gates ensuring total privacy and CCTV cameras are in operation.

Set at the end of a sweeping drive with parkland, gardens and a lake, Marlston
House is a wonderfully romantic period house which is grand, and yet
comfortable and welcoming. The house has three main functions rooms,
two with open fireplaces.
The balustraded South facing terrace, overlooking the gardens and lake, is perfect for a champagne reception with steps leading down to the sweeping lawns below. The building makes a magnificent backdrop for stunning photographs and there is a pretty Norman church a short walk from the house.
For larger receptions and events, a marquee may be sited, either attached to the house, in the front courtyard or on the lawns below the terrace, and our experienced event team will advise and work with you to ensure that your day is perfect in every way.
